Exchange study of Confucius classrooms from Ireland

Entrusted by the Hanban, 34 students and teachers of Confucius Classroom of Ireland Holy Child School and 44 students and teachers of Blackrock College High School have visited our school and communicated with Chinese students and teachers for 10 days and 7days from March 22, 2013 to April 1, April 3 to 10 separately.

Irish teachers and students joined the school flag-raising ceremony. Principal Liu Hu, Vice Principal Li Min, Assistant Li Huayan welcomed the guests. Director Xu Lan showed the guests “Xingtan”, “Sanwei Shuwu”classroom, the old elementary school classroom of the Republic of China, art classroom and teachers’ offices.

During the exchange of learning, the Irish teachers and students stayed in our school, through which they experience Chinese campus life deeply. In addition to taking Chinese course, they also learn calligraphy, paper cutting, Chinese songs. What’s more, Irish students were divided into several groups to join the English, art, sports and other classes. In their spare time, Irish and Chinese students organized various activities, especially the friendly matches with our school women's basketball team and men's soccer team.

Holy Child School and Black College High School are Ireland's famous girls’ school and boys' school, their visit not only enhanced the friendship between the teachers and students of Ireland and China, but also expanded students’ horizon and improved their language skills.
