A visit from Tarporley High School & Sixth Form College

On 10th April, 66 teachers and students from Tarporley High School & Sixth Form College, UK visited our school. Principal Li Min made a warm welcome and exchanged presents with  Mr. Mike Hutchinson, Geography Teacher and Pastoral Leader. In the morning, students from UK had some interesting English classes with our students. They introduced their food culture, school life and extracurricular activities with each other, and Chinese students also showed them how to bargain with Chinese. Classes are full with interaction and happy laughter. Although only two classes, students already become friends.

In the afternoon, students from the UK experienced our Chinese painting class and Beijing opera facial makeup class, which impressed them profoundly with delicate brushwork and unique traditional style. Soon after, they had a Tai Chi class with our PE teacher. Six UK teachers were attracted by Tai Chi movements as well and joined into the team. During the visit, Principal Liu Hu also communicated with UK teachers and students and took a group photo with them together. 

In spite of the one-day visit, UK students and teacher were deeply impressed by our distinct classes and extracurricular activities. Most of them hoped that they could go deep into Chinese culture and Chinese language. This visit promotes a further cooperation between the two schools and the culture exchange between China and the UK.
