A delegation from Thailand visits our school for friendly exchanges

On September 11, 2023, our school welcomed a delegation of teachers from Thailand's Sinakaninwilo University and its affiliated secondary schools. All the teachers from the International Students Department participated in the exchange and reception.

Sinakaninwilo University, founded in 1949 and located in Bangkok, Thailand, is the first national comprehensive university in Thailand. The name of the school "Siakaninwilo" means "city light" in Thai, a name bestowed by the former Emperor of Thailand. Princess Sirindhorn, now revered by the Thai royal family, studied at the school in her early years and obtained a doctorate in education. Its secondary school, Prasamit Secondary School, was established in 1953 and is a well-known local key secondary school. The main purpose of the visit was to conduct educational exchanges and academic discussions and strengthen cooperation between the two schools in the field of education.

At the beginning of the event, Principal Assistant Xu Lan extended a warm welcome to the Thai delegation and looked forward to exchanges and friendly cooperation between the two schools in the future.

At the symposium, Li Bo Shujie, Teaching and research team leader, introduced the educational philosophy, training objectives and daily operation of International Student Department to the Thai side, introduced in detail how to carefully design the national curriculum and characteristic courses for international students with different Chinese foundations, and finally demonstrated a variety of comprehensive practical activities.

Then, the organizer of the event, Mr. Kolitawong, introduced the basics of Sinakaninwilo University and affiliated Secondary schools and also detailed the learning objectives and examination subject requirements of Thai students.

After the symposium, the Thai delegation visited the beautiful campus environment and modern teaching facilities of our university.

The Thai delegation also went into the Chinese class of International Student Department, watched the drama "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai" performed by international students from the United States, Italy and South Korea, and exchanged views with the international students.

At the end of the visit, the teachers from the Thai delegation expressed high satisfaction with the trip and hoped to have more communication opportunities in the future.

The visit of the Thai delegation not only promoted the educational exchanges between the two schools, but also laid the foundation for further in-depth cooperation in the future.
