A Delegation from the Education Departments of São Paulo and Espírito Santo, Brazil, Visited Our School

The year 2024 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Brazil. On the morning of November 26th, a Brazilian education delegation of seven members, led by Renato Feder, the Secretary of Education of São Paulo State, and Vitor Dangelo, the Secretary of Education of Espírito Santo State, visited our school. Accompanying them were Cheng Hongmei, a First-Class Researcher of the Education Work Committee of Xicheng District, Zhao Jinchun, the Director of the Xicheng District Education International Exchange Center, Li Wenjing, a teacher, and Zhang Ying, a teacher from the International Cooperation and Exchange Section of the Xicheng District Education Commission.

The Brazilian delegation visited our school's Xingtan and Sanwei Shu Wu, two ancient buildings with rich traditional cultural charm that also feature modern teaching facilities. These unique structures, which reflect the characteristics of our school, aroused great interest among the delegation members.

Despite the cold wind outside, the atmosphere in the conference room was exceptionally warm. Cheng Hongmei, a First-Class Researcher of the Education Work Committee of Xicheng District, delivered a welcoming speech, detailing the overall situation of education in Xicheng District and the development of artificial intelligence in the teaching field. Our school's principal, Wang Liping, briefly introduced the overall situation of the school, the all-round personality education curriculum system, the development and achievements of international exchanges, the situation of Brazilian students studying at our school, and the integration and application of artificial intelligence in the teaching and learning process.

During the exchange and interaction, the Brazilian delegation showed a strong curiosity about China's teaching model, teacher evaluation system, enrollment and examination system, textbook selection standards, and the application of artificial intelligence in education and teaching. They continuously raised a series of in-depth and valuable questions, and both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on these issues. Subsequently, Renato Feder, the Secretary of Education of São Paulo State, introduced the overall situation of education in Brazil and compared and analyzed the similarities and differences with Chinese education. He highly praised the educational development achievements of Xicheng District, our school's educational philosophy and achievements, and expressed his strong expectations for further expanding exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.

Our school's assistant principal Xu Lan, Director Yao Xi of the Information Center, Director Yu Yuan and Deputy Director Yu Yuefang of the International Exchange and Education Center, and Li Boshu, the head of the International Students Department, all participated in the reception of the Brazilian delegation and had in-depth exchanges with the guests.
