From August 21 to 25, the 2024 World Robot Contest Championship was held in the Beijing Economic–Technological Development Area. The competition attracted more than 7,000 teams and 13,000 elite participants from over 10 countries worldwide. Contestants competed in over 30 major events, 80 sub-events, and 140 competition categories. In this fierce competition, three teams from our school demonstrated exceptional skill and perseverance, ultimately winning one championship (first prize), one second prize, and one third prize—an outstanding achievement.

The World Robot Contest (WRC), organized by the China Electronics Society, consists of three stages: the World Robot Contest Trials (WRCT), the World Robot Contest Championship (WRCC), and the World Robot Contest Finals (WRCF). Since its inception in 2015, the contest has been successfully held nine times, attracting nearly 300,000 participants from more than 20 countries. It is widely regarded as the “Olympics of the robotics world.”Since 2020, the competition has been included in the list of national-level competitions for primary and secondary students released by the Ministry of Education, and several of its events have achieved international recognition of results. The contest aims to cultivate participants’ skills in teamwork, strategic thinking, and hands-on innovation, while inspiring young people to pursue creativity and research excellence through robotics.
