WESTERN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL is a prestigious international school in Cambodia, known for its excellent teachers and large number of students. The visit included Macabuhay Jay Belaguin, Manager of Student Affairs and International Relations, and Vun Sophath, Director of Academics, as well as Ms. Wang Jing, Senior Program Director of the Office of Study Abroad at the School of International Business of Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU).
The Cambodia delegation visited the eastern and western campuses of our school. The unique and modern teaching facilities such as the gymnasium, black box, library on the western campus, intelligent greenhouse on the eastern campus, science and technology innovation laboratory, etc., impressed Cambodian guests. Li Bo Shujie, Teaching and Research leader of the International Department, also demonstrated the advanced multimedia equipment in the classroom and the mobile science and Technology museum of the Science and Technology Humanities Festival. The Cambodian delegation was deeply moved by the strong academic atmosphere and vibrant campus life of our school.
Then educational colleagues from both sides held a wonderful educational exchange symposium.
First, Principal Assistant Xu Lan extended a warm welcome to the Cambodian delegation and expressed looking forward to in-depth friendly exchanges and cooperation between the two schools in the future to achieve common development in education.
Then Li Bo Shujie, Teaching and Research leader of the International Department, introduced the educational philosophy and training objectives of the department of International Students of our school to the Cambodian side. Ms. Li also introduced in detail how the International Department carefully designed the national curriculum, characteristic cultural courses and comprehensive practical activities for international students with different Chinese language background.
Then Mr. Macabuhay Jay Belaguin from Western International School introduced the history of Western International School to the leaders and teachers of the international department. Finally, the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the summer camp, digital education model, STEM courses and other topics of mutual concern, and jointly explored the possibility of future cooperation.
At the end of the morning visit, the two sides exchanged gifts. The Cambodian delegation expressed high satisfaction with this visit and hoped to have more opportunities for in-depth exchanges and cooperation in the future. Although the visit of the Cambodian delegation was brief, it laid the foundation for further exchanges and cooperation in the future.
